1. Information we collect

We collect the information you give us and the information we need to run the service:

• Account data: your name, email, and login credentials, including details from Google or GitHub if you sign in with them.
• Billing data: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We store your plan and billing history, not your full card number.
• Usage data: how you use your workstation, such as session times, GPU hours, and storage, so we can bill accurately and improve the service.
• Technical data: IP address, device, and browser, collected automatically when you visit hinode.run.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to:

• Provide, maintain, and secure your workstation.
• Process payments and send billing notices.
• Respond to support requests.
• Send service updates and, if you opt in, product news.
• Detect abuse and meet our legal obligations.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Hinode — such as cloud infrastructure, payment, and analytics partners — under contracts that limit how they use it.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users, and the service.

4. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as we need it to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep it by law.

5. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular review. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict how we process it. To exercise these rights, email privacy@hinode.run.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and measure how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. International transfers

We may process your data in countries other than your own. When we transfer data across borders, we use safeguards required by applicable law.

9. Children

Hinode is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above. If the changes are significant, we will let you know by email or in the app.
